With a passion for ethically sourced beans and precision brewing, Forte Coffee delivers one of the best coffee experiences in the region. Their locations in Benton Harbor and Stevensville offer a modern, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for meeting friends or settling in with a laptop. The baristas are super friendly and pour a great flat white!

I have gone to Hearth Market almost every day because it’s just that good. Their coffee bar alone is worth the visit—my iced vanilla oat milk latte was smooth and just the right amount of sweet. But Hearth is more than a coffee shop—it’s a vibrant, multi-experience market where everything is crafted with intention and flavor. From their gluten-free cake and tiramisu to the dark chocolate gelato, every sweet treat is absolute perfection. And don’t even get me started on their pizza, sandwiches, and beer selection—they’re artisan, fresh, and full of flavor.
4. Issa Vibe Cafe
vibe: where you go to meet a friend or get creative!
Issa Vibe is exactly what it sounds like—a bright, colorful, feel-good space located in downtown Benton Harbor. Serving up creative drinks and delicious pastries, it’s a must-visit for coffee lovers and creatives alike. Only a few minutes from Lake Michigan, Amtrak station, and steps from the downtown Benton Harbor. The coffee and vibes are worth the drive, my mocha and chocolate muffin were INCREDIBLE!
5. Caffè Tosi

A downtown St. Joseph staple since 1992, Caffè Tosi is a European-inspired café known for its charming atmosphere, artisan espresso drinks, and incredible baked goods. Located downtown, it’s a perfect spot for breakfast, a light lunch, or an afternoon cappuccino paired with a fresh pastry. Such a fun spot to try a new dessert, I have enjoyed every sweet treat I’ve tried here!
6. Rising Kites Coffee Shop
vibe: support your community with a good latte!
This cozy, non-profit café in Benton Harbor is more than just a place to grab a latte. Rising Kites supports local youth programs and employment training—so every cup you sip helps make a difference. Try their seasonal drinks and fresh baked goods for the full experience. I really enjoyed my vanilla oat milk latte here!
7. The Local Baroda

In the heart of Baroda, this stylish café offers both a full service coffee bar and brunch menu. Start your day with a specialty coffee and locally made breakfast, or swing by later for wine and charcuterie. It’s a local favorite for good reason! Only about a 15 minute drive from Weko Beach!
