What to Eat and Where to get Coffee:

Where to Stay

There is a vast array of villages spanning far and wide across the Gulf of Corinth. With many to choose from, we have found the best place for you! We have stayed in the village of Vrachati, about a 15 minute drive from downtown Corinth, for two months. We have found THE ULTIMATE AIRBNB for you (well actually THREE)! Located only minutes from beautiful pebbled beaches, the Lemon Tree homes await you.

Since every travel expedition is unique, Lemon Tree homes have three options for you to choose from (follow links below for pricing, photos, & more!)

  1. Rooftop Alfa Loft (1 bed): For solo travelers and couples, this loft overlooks the Gulf of Corinth, romanticizing every part of your day. With luxury styled seating and space to enjoy every inch of the rooftop and shared garden. For more info on the Lemon Tree Rooftop Alfa Loft click HERE!
  1. Lemon Tree House (2 beds): For friends and family, this space is equipped for long stays. This is where my husband and I stayed for two months and had everything we needed to accommodate our lengthy stay. Additionally, we had a friend visit for 10 days as our additional third guest. This space is given a beautiful outdoor daybed with access to the shared lemon tree garden. For more info on the Lemon Tree House click HERE!
  1. Lemon Tree Family House (4 beds): For family and furry friends, this space is equipped for weekend getaways or longer, with a spacious shared living space, back patio, and a large shared garden space (where the beloved lemon trees live). How to get there (with links)

Depending what direction you are coming from, there are three main ways to get to Vrachati, Greece: train, bus, and or taxi.

If you are coming from Athens International Airport the best way to get to Corinth is to take the train from Athens station. To find your cheap flights to Athens, click HERE! You either take a taxi from the airport or take the train into Athens (Pictured below).

From Athens airpot, you will need to get a ticket to the Larissa Station first. Purchase your ticket online HERE from Athens to St. Larissa Station. Next up is your transfer ride, purchase a ticket online or from Larissa station at the front desk. You will ride from Athens straight into Corinth for about an hour and a half. From Athens airport to Corinth, expect about a 2-3hr commute total and 2 trains.

When you arrive in Corinth, you have two options. Taxi drivers will be waiting in a line outside the station. We got a taxi for $15 right to Feet Café in Vrachati. This was worth it as the bus station was close to a 30 minute walk from the train station. If you choose to find the bus, be sure to get your ticket ahead of time and get off in Vrachati. The buses are nice (the big tour bus style).

They will take you right to the city center of Vrachati. You will walk straight down the main street (heading East). You can put into google maps or ask a local on the street where Feet Cafe is. FEET CAFE is your landmark. This is where you will be greeted by your wonderful Airbnb host and find your accommodations. The Lemon Tree homes are all attached to this wonderful cafe and serves as a great landmark for your time here.

Why we wanted to spent more money

Simply put, convinence. As we were traveling to Vrachati, we decided to spend the money for the sake of convenience. So we got a taxi from Athens Airport to Larissa station. We took the train from Larissa to Corinth and then got another taxi to our final destination. Since we stayed in Vrachati for two months, it was worth it to spend a little more to easily get to our accommodations since our cost of transportation for the trip as a whole was VERY low.

For the traveler who is going to multiple locations, it might be worth it to save a few extra euros on not getting taxis and utilizing the buses. This is totally up to you! When looking to take day trips to Corinth or Ancient Corinth, you will follow the same procedure (by bus or taxi both ways!)

How to score a taxi:

At Athens airport, there is a line (a queue for our British English friends) to stand in for taxis outside of arrivals. Our pro tip is during you stay, download Uber on your phone! Use the airport Wifi if you don’t have data. Uber will allow you to order a taxi from almost any region. This is a helpful *in case of an emergency* cover to have if you really get lost… hopefully not, but just in case.

Enjoy your stay,
