Vrachati is nestled away on the Gulf of Corinth and only an hour’s train ride from Athens. With plenty of things you need to do, this location is an absolute for a weekend getaway or home base for extensive travels across the Peloponnese.
- Eat really good food.
From beachside restaurants to home-styled Greek cuisine, you will find no lack of gyros, souvlaki, and all of your Greek favorites! Plus all of the restaurants are open pretty late! Here’s one of our favorite breakfasts from The Hook Cup:
- Try Freddo Espressos or Cappuccinos.
Vrachati has a wide variety of coffee shops to choose from. Enjoy your coffee from inside or have it delivered right to your door! A few of our favorite places to grab coffee are Feet and Mpriki!
- Go swimming!
Vrachati hugs the Gulf of Corinth and brings you one of the best pebbled beaches to swim in from May through early October. Additionally, The beach stretches for what seems endless and the gorgeous crystal blue water and the mountain ranges that surround you will make you think you are on one of the islands!
You will find parts of the beaches lined with beach chairs and umbrellas with excellent service from restaurants across the street! Our favorite is the seats connected to the Hook Cup, bringing you the best drinks, food, and complimentary wifi too!
- Ride bikes down the coast.
From Vrachati to Corinth and Corinth to Patras, you will find beautiful streets lining the coast that you can stroll, bike, and drive down. The scenic views will take your breath away every day!
- Explore the town & take photos.
Every corner of Vrachati is just waiting to be discovered. From beautiful coastlines, mountains, architecture, and fruit farms, to magnificent churches, Vrachati will fill your camera roll with unforgettable moments.
Happy traveling,
Cosette & David
