1. ΤΟ ΚΟΤΟΠΟΥΛΟ ΤΗΣ ΠΕΡΣΕΦΟΝΗΣ
When you plan your trip to Greece, there is one word you must learn:
ΚΟΤΟΠΟΥΛΟ (koh-to-pool-o) = Chicken
You can thank me later. Even though chicken isn’t the most ascribed dish of the Greeks, are we surprised that they still make it so good? Especially at THE chicken spot in Vrachati. Prepare to wait at least 30 minutes-1 hour on your order, simply because every order is made ridiculously fresh to order!
2. Apomesimero (Tsipouro Tavern)
We found the Greek tavern you have to experience for yourself. From start to finish, Apomesimero will bring the traditional Greek delicacies of the Peloponnese to your fingertips. The locals informed us it is common to “tapas style it” at taverns. Getting many different dishes to share with your friends & family. So be bold and do not fret, this is the time to try something you’ve never had before.
p.s. If you like sausage, you must try ANY of the sausages that Costa (the owner) has to offer. Dip your bread in the oil and don’t blame me if you die and go to heaven… ITS THAT GOOD.
3. Psistagram
Not much needs to be said, but in my bold opinion, BEST gyros in town! Just go, simply go. Get a Chicken or Pork gyro… or two… don’t forget the coke. You will not be disappointed. And for those who aren’t a huge gyro fan, try the souvlaki or their chicken caesar salad!
4. Guest
Guest won’t offer what you’d typically think of being served at a Greek restaurant, AND THATS A-OK! They are open late and serve a wide variety of American and Italian inspired food. And, they just do it so well?! The venue is a seaside paradise, only a five minute walk to the pebbled beach on the Gulf of Corinth.
5. Hook Cup
For another less traditional Greek Cusine, Hook Cup has you covered on all your universal dishes. From extravagant burgers and fries to mouth watering brunch options, your hardest decision will be deciding between savory or sweet… or both?
Don’t sleep on Hook Cups coffee and drink menu! They have an expansive selection that especially makes your sea side lounging feeling as luxury as a 5 star hotel! Minus the outrageous prices, this is truly boujee on a budget. Yamas! Cheers!
