This blog is dedicated to the Lord. “Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” This blog is for the glory of Jesus and to help make His Name known amongst the nations. Whether by preaching of the Gospel, teaching how to read the Word, learning better ways to explore His creation, or more ways to beautify the life you live– to Christ be the glory, forever and ever, amen (even through this silly little platform!)
Why Blogging? Why this medium in 2025?
Hi, I’m Cosette! And yes, I started blogging in 2023. And no, I don’t think I’m late to the game. If anything, I think we’re still in the early days of what blogging can be. Social platforms come and go (and change algorithms like they change socks), but blogging? It’s a steady, powerful medium that lets you go deep, speak truth, and connect with readers without all the noise.
For me, blogging isn’t just a creative outlet, it’s ministry, storytelling, and a hobby all rolled into one. I’ve seen first-hand how a single blog post can encourage someone’s walk with Jesus, shift their perspectives, or give them that one practical tip they needed for life, travel, or even their morning coffee.
This blog exists for exactly that reason. It’s a place where discipleship, Bible study, travel, coffee culture, and everyday lifestyle all meet. My hope is that these posts don’t just entertain but help fund our dream of spreading the Gospel further, discipling believers, and teaching the Word of God. So yes, even you being here and reading is part of the goal of this platform (thanks!!)! 🙂
Oof-the Writing Slumps that Almost Win😭
Blogging is not all dreamy coffee shop vibes and endless inspiration. The pros? It’s yours, no algorithms to fight, you can go as deep as you want, it creates a permanent, searchable resource for years to come, you can monetize in real, sustainable ways.
The cons? It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Growing an audience takes time and patience. Writing slumps are real, and they are the worst.
About those slumps: they creep in when you’ve been staring at a blank screen too long, when the words feel flat, or when life just throws more at you than you can put into sentences. But here’s the thing, they’re overcomeable (Yes, that’s a word today.)!! Every slump I’ve ever had eventually broke open into a fresh wave of ideas and renewed purpose & JOY! You just keep showing up, even on the days it feels pointless, because the impact of your words often happens quietly, and sometimes months or years later.
A few moths back, I was at a wedding of a good friend. I ran into a classmate from high school I have not spoken to in a decade. It was so sweet to catch up, we met each others spouses, she has KIDS, and they are doing amazing things with their lives. And then she said something that meant the world: “Also I love reading your blog! It pops up on my facebook page all the time and I always read them!”
MY SOUL. WHAT?? MY VIEWS AREN’T FAKE? Real people read my blog? Past classmates? Co-workers? My family and friends? People across the globe? So yes, I am still on what feels mile 5 out of 26 of this marathon, but I am having little yet mighty victories along the way. So from someone who has been blogging for 2 years now, this is a marathon, and it is so worth every mile!!
Why You Should Consider Starting a Blog Before 2026
If you’ve been thinking, “Maybe I’ll start a blog someday…”, I have one word for you: sooner.
The internet is shifting fast. More people are turning to long-form, trustworthy content instead of fleeting 15-second clips. Search engines still love well-written, value-packed posts. And with AI and tech advancing daily, the window to stand out as a genuine, human voice online is now, not three years from now!
By 2026, 2027, 2035, and so on, the blogging landscape will be more saturated, but also more competitive in ways that could make it harder for new voices to break through. Starting before then means you give yourself the time to grow, experiment, and build a loyal audience before the space tightens.
If you have a story, a passion, or even just a weirdly niche obsession you can write about for hours, get it out there now. Your future readers are already looking for you and they are waiting to read what you have to say!
love, your local follower of Jesus & creative
